Tradesperson Agreement

BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

Effective Date: 30 July 2026

By applying to join, subscribing to, or remaining listed on Rossendale Trades Hub ("the Platform"), you ("the Business", "you", "your") agree to the following terms.

1. Independent Business

All businesses listed on Rossendale Trades Hub operate independently.

You acknowledge that you are not:

  • An employee of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd.

  • An agent or representative of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd.

  • A partner or joint venture of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd.

Rossendale Trades Hub acts solely as an online platform that promotes independent businesses and connects customers with local service providers.

2. Business Information

You agree that all information you provide is accurate, truthful and kept up to date at all times.

This includes, where applicable:

  • Business name

  • Contact details

  • Business address

  • Website and social media links

  • Services offered

  • Qualifications

  • Trade registrations

  • Insurance details

  • Business descriptions

  • Images and logos

You must notify Rossendale Trades Hub promptly if any information changes.

3. Business Verification

Rossendale Trades Hub operates a business verification process to help improve confidence in the information provided by listed businesses.

You agree that we may request documentation including, where appropriate:

  • Proof of identity

  • Public liability insurance

  • Company registration details

  • Trade registrations

  • Professional memberships

  • Qualifications

  • Other documentation reasonably required to verify your business

Rossendale Trades Hub may also carry out verification using trusted third-party providers and publicly available information.

Verification is intended only to confirm certain information and does not constitute certification, endorsement or approval.

Rossendale Trades Hub reserves the right to request updated documentation at any time.

Failure to provide requested information may result in suspension or removal of your listing.

4. Your Responsibilities

You accept full responsibility for:

  • All work carried out.

  • The quality of your services.

  • Your customer service.

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Health and safety requirements.

  • Pricing and quotations.

  • Contracts entered into with customers.

All agreements are made directly between you and your customers.

5. Insurance & Legal Compliance

Where applicable, you confirm that you:

  • Hold appropriate public liability insurance.

  • Hold any licences, registrations or qualifications required to carry out your work.

  • Comply with all applicable legislation.

  • Will maintain these requirements throughout your membership.

You agree to notify Rossendale Trades Hub if your insurance, registrations or other relevant documentation expire, are cancelled or change.

6. Professional Standards

You agree to:

  • Conduct business honestly and professionally.

  • Treat customers fairly and respectfully.

  • Respond to customer enquiries within a reasonable time where possible.

  • Provide accurate quotations and information.

  • Maintain a professional standard of workmanship.

Rossendale Trades Hub reserves the right to investigate concerns raised about your business and to request further information where appropriate.

7. Memberships & Subscriptions

Membership packages are provided on a subscription basis unless otherwise agreed.

By subscribing you agree that:

  • Subscription fees are payable in advance.

  • Membership renews automatically until cancelled.

  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or removal of your listing.

  • Membership benefits may change from time to time as the platform develops.

Membership provides advertising and promotional opportunities only.

Rossendale Trades Hub does not guarantee:

  • Customer enquiries.

  • Job leads.

  • Sales.

  • Business growth.

  • Search engine rankings.

  • Revenue.

8. Customer Reviews

Customers may leave reviews or ratings where this feature is available.

Rossendale Trades Hub reserves the right to remove reviews that are considered abusive, unlawful, misleading, fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate.

Businesses must not submit false reviews or encourage misleading reviews.

9. Marketing Permission

By joining Rossendale Trades Hub you grant us permission to use your:

  • Business name

  • Logo

  • Images

  • Business description

  • Publicly available information

  • Reviews (where applicable)

for the purpose of promoting your business and Rossendale Trades Hub through our website, social media, printed materials and other marketing channels.

Ownership of your intellectual property remains with you.

10. Suspension & Removal

Rossendale Trades Hub may suspend, restrict or permanently remove your membership or listing where we reasonably believe:

  • Information supplied is false or misleading.

  • Verification requirements have not been met.

  • Required documentation has expired or cannot be confirmed.

  • Membership fees remain unpaid.

  • Your business breaches these Terms.

  • Serious complaints or safeguarding concerns have been raised.

  • Continued listing may damage the reputation or integrity of the platform.

Suspension or removal does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

11. Limitation of Liability

Rossendale Trades Hub provides advertising, promotional and directory services only.

We accept no liability for:

  • Agreements between businesses and customers.

  • Customer disputes.

  • Loss of work.

  • Loss of profits.

  • Business interruption.

  • Reputation.

  • Reviews submitted by customers.

  • Any matter arising from services provided by your business.

12. Changes to this Agreement

Rossendale Trades Hub may update this Business Membership Agreement from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

Continued membership after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.

13. Acceptance

By applying for membership, subscribing, renewing your membership or remaining listed on Rossendale Trades Hub, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this Agreement.

  • You agree to be bound by its terms.

  • The information you have provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
