We are not a contractor, employer, recruitment agency, broker or intermediary for work carried out by businesses listed on the platform.

3. INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES

Every business listed on Rossendale Trades Hub operates independently.

Businesses listed on the platform are not:

  • Employees of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd

  • Agents of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd

  • Representatives of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd

  • Partners of Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd

  • Subcontractors acting on our behalf

Any quotation, contract, agreement or arrangement for goods or services is entered into solely between the customer and the relevant business.

Rossendale Trades Hub is not a party to any agreement between customers and businesses.

4. BUSINESS VERIFICATION

Rossendale Trades Hub operates a business verification process to help improve confidence in the information provided by businesses listed on the platform.

Verification may include, where appropriate:

  • Identity verification

  • Company information checks

  • Public liability insurance verification (where applicable)

  • Trade registrations or professional memberships

  • Information obtained from trusted third-party verification providers

  • Information obtained from publicly available sources

The checks carried out may vary depending on the type of business and the information available.

Businesses agree to provide accurate and truthful information when requested.

Rossendale Trades Hub reserves the right to request updated documentation at any time.

Verification is carried out solely to help confirm certain information supplied by businesses.

Verification does not constitute:

  • Certification

  • Accreditation

  • Approval

  • Recommendation

  • Endorsement

  • Guarantee of workmanship

  • Guarantee of competence

  • Guarantee of future conduct

  • Guarantee of financial stability

Verification reflects information available at the time the checks are completed.

Rossendale Trades Hub cannot guarantee that verified information will remain accurate after verification has taken place.

5. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Customers remain responsible for carrying out their own due diligence before appointing any business.

This may include checking:

  • Qualifications

  • Insurance

  • References

  • Previous work

  • Reviews

  • Trade registrations

  • Suitability for the project

Customers should obtain their own quotations and satisfy themselves before entering into any agreement.

6. BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITIES

Businesses using Rossendale Trades Hub agree to:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Keep their listing up to date

  • Maintain appropriate insurance where applicable

  • Maintain any required licences or registrations

  • Notify Rossendale Trades Hub if important business information changes

  • Respond professionally to customer enquiries

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Businesses must not provide false, misleading or fraudulent information.

Rossendale Trades Hub may suspend or remove listings where information cannot be verified or where false or misleading information has been supplied.

7. MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

Businesses may purchase membership packages, advertising services or other digital products offered by Rossendale Trades Hub.

By subscribing you agree that:

  • Membership fees will be charged on a recurring basis until cancelled.

  • Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before your next billing date.

  • Your listing remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

  • Membership benefits may change from time to time as Rossendale Trades Hub develops.

  • Rossendale Trades Hub may introduce new features, services or benefits without affecting these Terms.

Membership provides advertising exposure and access to platform features only.

Rossendale Trades Hub does not guarantee:

  • Customer enquiries

  • Job leads

  • Website traffic

  • Business growth

  • Search engine rankings

  • Sales or revenue

Business success depends on many factors outside our control.

8. PAYMENTS

Payments for memberships, advertising, website services, hosting, maintenance and other products are processed securely through approved third-party payment providers.

By making a purchase you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to use the chosen payment method.

  • All payment information supplied is accurate.

  • You authorise Rossendale Trades Hub to collect recurring subscription payments where applicable.

Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of services without notice.

Rossendale Trades Hub does not store full debit or credit card details.

9. CANCELLATIONS

Subscription memberships may be cancelled at any time before the next billing date.

Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically generate a refund for the current billing period.

Your membership will remain active until the end of your paid subscription period.

Website hosting, maintenance and other recurring services remain payable until cancelled in accordance with any agreed notice period.

10. REFUNDS

Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once services have commenced.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Membership subscriptions

  • Featured listings

  • Premium listings

  • Advertising services

  • Website design work

  • Search engine optimisation

  • Social media marketing

  • Branding services

  • Graphic design

  • Digital downloads

  • Custom digital work

Where work has already been completed or has substantially begun, refunds will not normally be provided.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

11. JOB LEADS

Rossendale Trades Hub may provide businesses with access to customer job leads.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Job leads are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Access may be limited to a specified number of businesses.

  • Availability cannot be guaranteed.

  • Rossendale Trades Hub cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information supplied by customers.

Businesses are responsible for carrying out their own enquiries before accepting any work.

Rossendale Trades Hub accepts no responsibility for agreements made following the purchase or acceptance of a job lead.

12. WEBSITE DESIGN & DIGITAL SERVICES

Rossendale Trades Hub may provide:

  • Website design

  • Website development

  • Shopify setup

  • Search engine optimisation (SEO)

  • Branding

  • Graphic design

  • Social media services

  • Website maintenance

  • Hosting

  • Domain assistance

  • Other digital services

Customers agree to provide accurate content, branding, logos, images and other materials required for their project.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any content supplied.

Rossendale Trades Hub reserves the right to refuse projects that are unlawful, offensive or inconsistent with our business values.

13. WEBSITE PROJECTS

Website projects are created specifically for each customer.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Completion times are estimates only.

  • Delays caused by customers may affect delivery dates.

  • Limited revisions may be included within the agreed package.

  • Additional revisions or significant changes may incur further charges.

Rossendale Trades Hub does not guarantee:

  • Search engine rankings

  • Website traffic

  • Sales

  • Customer enquiries

  • Conversion rates

  • Business growth

14. PROJECT INACTIVITY

Where a customer fails to provide requested content, approvals or communication for a period of 30 days or more, Rossendale Trades Hub may place the project on hold.

After prolonged inactivity we reserve the right to close the project.

Work already completed remains chargeable and payments are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

15. HOSTING & DOMAINS

Where Rossendale Trades Hub provides website hosting or maintenance:

  • Hosting is supplied on a subscription basis unless otherwise agreed.

  • Failure to maintain payments may result in suspension or removal of hosting services.

  • Customers remain responsible for renewing any domain names registered in their own name unless Rossendale Trades Hub has expressly agreed to manage those renewals.

Rossendale Trades Hub is not responsible for interruptions caused by:

  • Domain registrars

  • Hosting providers

  • Internet outages

  • DNS failures

  • Email interruptions

  • Third-party software

  • Cyber attacks

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

16. CUSTOMER CONTENT

Customers retain ownership of content they provide, including:

  • Logos

  • Images

  • Text

  • Videos

  • Branding

  • Documents

By supplying content, customers confirm they own the necessary rights or have permission to use it.

Customers agree to indemnify Rossendale Trades Hub against any claims arising from copyright infringement, trademark disputes or unlawful content supplied by them.

17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights in the Rossendale Trades Hub website, branding, logos, graphics, layout, written content and original materials belong to Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed or reused without prior written permission.

Businesses retain ownership of their own logos, photographs and other materials supplied for use on their listings.

Rossendale Trades Hub may rely on trusted third-party providers to operate its services.

These may include providers of:

  • Payment processing

  • Business verification

Rossendale Trades Hub accepts no responsibility for interruptions, failures or losses caused by third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense or claim arising from:

  • Work carried out by any business listed on the platform.

  • Any agreement or contract entered into between customers and businesses.

  • Poor workmanship or incomplete work.

  • Financial loss or loss of profits.

  • Property damage.

  • Delays or missed appointments.

  • Business interruption.

  • Loss of data.

  • Website downtime.

  • Third-party service failures.

  • Information supplied by businesses or customers.

  • Reliance placed upon any listing, review or advertisement.

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

20. NO GUARANTEE OR ENDORSEMENT

Rossendale Trades Hub provides a platform for businesses to advertise their services.

Although businesses may complete our verification process, verification does not constitute:

  • Accreditation

  • Certification

  • Recommendation

  • Approval

  • Endorsement

  • Guarantee

Rossendale Trades Hub does not guarantee:

  • The quality of any work.

  • The competence of any business.

  • Future conduct.

  • Customer satisfaction.

  • Availability.

  • Pricing.

  • Completion of work.

Customers should always carry out their own due diligence before appointing any business.

21. COMPLAINTS

Rossendale Trades Hub welcomes feedback regarding businesses listed on the platform.

Where concerns are raised, we may:

  • Request further information.

  • Contact the business concerned.

  • Request updated verification documents.

  • Temporarily suspend a listing while enquiries are made.

  • Permanently remove a listing where appropriate.

Rossendale Trades Hub is not responsible for investigating or resolving contractual disputes between customers and businesses.

22. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

Rossendale Trades Hub reserves the right to suspend, restrict or permanently remove any listing, account, membership or service without notice where we reasonably believe:

  • False or misleading information has been supplied.

  • Verification requirements have not been met.

  • Insurance or required documentation cannot be confirmed.

  • Fraudulent or unlawful activity is suspected.

  • These Terms have been breached.

  • Payment has not been received.

  • Continued listing may damage the reputation or integrity of the platform.

Businesses remain responsible for any outstanding fees due before termination.

23. PRIVACY

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Where businesses submit identity documents, insurance information or other verification material, this information will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

Rossendale Trades Hub Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.

24. FORCE MAJEURE

Rossendale Trades Hub shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Severe weather

  • Internet outages

  • Cyber attacks

  • Power failures

  • Industrial action

  • Government action

  • Failure of third-party suppliers or service providers

25. GOVERNING LAW
